French Style Butter Bell
No more hard butter! This white stoneware piece will hold your butter safely at room temperature. How does it work? Fill the cup on the inside of the lid with butter. Then put cold water in the bottom jar. Fill to the level of the butter. This will take a bit of practice,but trust me it is simple. When you serve the butter, turn the lid upside down as shown in the picture. As the butter is eaten the water level should be increased. The way this item works is scientific...keep oxygen from the butter by creating a watery seal and it will not go rancid. No, the butter does not get watery because oil and water do not mix. Warm toast in the morning for sure!
